What is the FAPSC Scholarship Program?

Member institutions offer tuition scholarships to their institution; FAPSC coordinates and markets the program.

Who is eligible?

Florida public and private high school seniors graduating during the 2010-2011 school year and individuals awarded GEDs between March 1, 2010 - February 28, 2011 may apply.

How are the scholarships funded?

Participating FAPSC member institutions provide one or more full tuition, $5,000 or $1,000 scholarships to be awarded in April 2011.  These are institutional scholarships, funded by the schools.
 

What  role does FAPSC play?

• FAPSC coordinates the program and designs and distributes materials to high schools, workforce regions, GED and vocational technical center and of course to all participating FAPSC institutions.
• FAPSC does all the advertising coordinating through Florida Trend’s NEXT Magazine ™ which is distributed free to all students in Florida’s public and private  high schools.
• FAPSC will provide each scholarship contact an electronic list of high school guidance and career counselors and will forward the names and contact information  of everyone applying for a scholarship to your institution.

How do I advertise in Florida Trend’s NEXT Magazine™?

FAPSC member schools/colleges participating in the scholarship program have an opportunity to advertise in Florida Trend’s NEXT Magazine™ August 2011 publication at a special FAPSC member rate.

• NEXT magazine is a FREE publication that is distributed to Florida teens in the 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade.
